ChallengeHeavenly Mountain Resort, a Vail Resorts company, sought to build a destination web site for its guests that showcased the fact that Heavenly is the only world class ski resort in America with access to casinos and stellar nightlife activities such as live concerts, shows and clubs. Heavenly’s unique offerings for VIP-like vacations and promotional parties needed a place to live on the web where social media and social networking could be used to drive participation and awareness. The existing content management system was limited in what type of presentation could be made and the Marketing team needed an optimized platform to support the project’s goals.
Verritech utilized Drupal to efficiently build a platform for the new Marketing initiatives including the famous "Unbuckle at Tamarack" après ski party with the Heavenly Angels and the “Get out of LA - Skyway to Heavenly” party. We integrated Vimeo, Instagram and Twitter content to provide dynamic, user-generated content, including a live stream from the annual Skyway to Heavenly parties.
The site’s VIP-inspired style and ease of use helped in making Heavenly’s Los Angeles event a huge success, leading to an expansion of the site in the second year not only in Los Angeles, but in New York as well. Now equipped with a unique landing page creation system, Heavenly was able to provide the perfect solution for their event’s partnership with MAXIM Magazine. Guests have also used the site to become more involved in the nightlife that Heavenly offers and to submit requests for more information, generating leads for VIP vacations.
